An inspirational evening at the Women in IT Awards
We turned up in numbers to support our own Bethan Timmins, who was a finalist in the ‘Transformation Leader of the Year’ category.
Now in its fourth year, the Women in IT Awards is the world’s largest event dedicated to tackling diversity in the technology industry by showcasing the achievements and innovation of women in technology.
There were 1,200 people present at the evening, which was hosted by Maggie Philbin, with keynotes by Baroness Martha Lane-Fox, Ben Rossi of Vitesse Media and Caroline Glackin of Amazon Web Services.
We also invited some of our clients to join us, and they clearly found it as inspirational as we did!
Shoutout to @EqualExperts for inviting me to the #WomenInITAwards – so inspiring 💪🏻. The talented women of @CoopDigital are all getting nominated next year!

Although Bethan didn’t win the award (congratulations to Sarah Trickett at HMRC), being a finalist recognises the role she played leading a transformation project within a major department of the UK government. She defined the vision for the work then led nine agile teams to rehome 68 legacy applications in the cloud. It took a lot of hard work and tenacity, so well done Bethan (and top marks for going above and beyond the call of duty with your Equal Experts branded socks.)
Really proud to be a finalist and even more proud to spend the night with the amazing network of @EqualExperts. Thank you for all the support everyone has given me. My face shouldn’t be up there alone. https://t.co/YU31Dx0Y6g
