Event driven systems are often reported to be inherently loosely coupled. We will explore why this isn’t always the case, common pitfalls, and how to avoid them. We’ll then see how these principals were applied at a major retailer.

Nick Williams
Principal Engineer, Equal Experts Australia

 

 

Nick is a principal engineer and consultant with delivery experience across the UK, Europe and Australia. He has led a variety of complex projects, ranging from embedded systems in the warehousing and logistics industry, to the design and development of large data platforms. 

Whilst working with one of Australia’s largest retailers, Nick acted as a solution architect and technical principal in order to create processes and technologies that would increase the alignment across silos within the company, whilst ensuring teams have enough autonomy to achieve their unique goals.
