What if technology could not only drive innovation and efficiency but also transform lives? At Equal Experts we believe that technology has the power to not only support business growth but also create meaningful social impact.
Our team in Australia is committed to using our expertise to empower communities, support underrepresented groups in tech, and foster a more inclusive future. From empowering women in STEM to uplifting Indigenous voices, we’re on a mission to harness technology as a force for good through mentorship, education and community engagement.
Empowering women in STEM
Equal Experts’ own APAC Chief Evangelist Abbe Majeed is actively mentoring at women.4/stem, an initiative dedicated to supporting and inspiring women pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. By providing guidance, sharing career insights, and fostering a network of support, Abbe is helping to break down barriers and create more opportunities for women in the industry.
Supporting the next generation of tech leaders
Matthew Waugh, our Sales Director for APAC, is lending his expertise to Launchpad Academy, a program designed to mentor and equip young people with the skills they need to excel in the tech industry. Through hands-on learning, industry insights, and real-world applications, Matthew is helping to shape the future of Australia’s digital workforce, ensuring that aspiring technologists receive the guidance they need to thrive.
Giving back through Expert Talks
Equal Experts hosts Expert Talks, a series of events where thought leaders and practitioners gather together to share insights on technology and business transformation. These events aren’t just about knowledge-sharing – they’re also an opportunity to contribute to a good cause. The attendee ticket donations from our Expert Talks events in Australia go directly to the Remote Laundries Project, an initiative by the Aboriginal Investment Group. This project provides essential hygiene services to remote Indigenous communities, improving health outcomes and quality of life.
Uplifting young designers through mentorship
We’re also proud to be mentoring senior high school students through UpRising Design, an initiative that connects experienced professionals with young designers looking to build a career in user experience, service design, and product development. Our team members provide mentorship, career advice, and industry insights to help these students grow and succeed with their design initiatives.
Facilitating Indigenous consultation for future curriculum design
As part of our commitment to inclusivity and representation, Equal Experts is involved in facilitating Indigenous consultation for the future of design curriculum in NSW. By engaging with Indigenous leaders, educators, and community members, we are working to ensure that the next generation of designers and technologists are educated with a curriculum that acknowledges and integrates Indigenous perspectives and knowledge systems.
Technology as a force for good
At Equal Experts Australia, we believe that technology is at its most powerful when it serves communities and creates positive change. Through mentorship, education, and community-driven initiatives, our team is committed to making a lasting impact with our tech for good work.
