Congratulations to HMRC Digital for making the shortlist of the UK IT Industry Awards 2015!

HMRC Digital’s Multi-Channel Digital Tax Platform (MDTP) is a finalist in the “Digital Project of the Year” category. This category is open to both public and private sector entries and will be awarded to a project that highlights the importance of new technology initiatives, and demonstrates the benefits of well-managed IT implementations for changing and improving business and public life.

The team at HMRC Digital has been delivering new and redesigned digital services that bring digital services to the forefront of HMRC’s interaction with the public. They are particularly proud of the new MDTP.

We have been building this platform at HMRC Digital since early 2013. Based on a micro-services architecture, the Tax Platform makes use of modern open source software and cloud based services to allow multiple agile teams to rapidly build, deploy and operate digital services tailored to users, while sharing common services and technologies.
